The graphic designer is a member of the marketing team in the Business Career Center. They will be responsible for collaborating with the marketing manager and developing all creative elements to be used to advertise career resources to students. They will also be responsible for maintaining the student facing brand for the Business Career Center. As the sole graphic designer, professionalism and strong work ethic must be apparent in all situations.  We are looking to fill this position with somebody who is interested in pursuing graphic design in a business setting. 

This job requires 20 hours a week with scheduling options between 7am-7pm (flexible scheduling) in 4 hour shifts. The person selected for this position must be available for a weekly team meeting Thursdays from 11am-12pm. Pay begins at $11 an hour and is bumped to $12.50 after training is complete (training typically lasts 10 days). This job is part time during Fall/Winter with the opportunity to transfer to a full-time position during the Spring/Summer.

Responsibilities include

 Generate awareness of the Business Career Center for Marriott School students

Works with Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategy

Proactively seeks feedback and ways to improve designs from coworkers and other students

Works with Marketing Manager to improve and maintain student-facing brand

Develop all creative elements for various marketing campaigns including (but not limited to):

o   Digital Signage

o   Student-facing website

o   Fliers/handouts

o   Posters

Skills needed

 Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign (After Effects is a plus)

Previous Experience Required

o   Portfolio to be reviewed during interview

Preference will be given Graphic Design/Advertising Majors, or Advertising Design/Design Minors

o   Samples can include anything produced in the last 3 years for any setting (i.e. work, school, etc.) but must be from 5 different projects
